Comcast Technology Solutions has unveiled a new centralized Video-On-Demand management and distribution service called Comcast Media Express for premium content providers, according to a recent PR Newswire story that details the company's efforts to simplify content distribution across multiple platforms.
Content owners can now distribute their VOD entertainment titles to leading OTT, pay TV, and social platforms through this centrally managed service, reports PR Newswire, which emphasizes the platform's ability to streamline distribution processes. According to the report, the new platform serves as a single point for ingesting video, metadata, and supporting files, making it easier for content providers to reach various platforms with different requirements.
The service includes features like simplified single ingest, managed white-glove service, and extensive reach across streaming and pay TV platforms. Content creators can focus more on content creation and monetization while the platform handles the technical aspects of distribution. The platform supports various monetization models, including SVOD, AVOD, TVOD, and FAST, giving content creators flexibility in their revenue strategies, claimed industry experts who were quoted in the Comcast announcement.
