The Red Bull Showrun sped into Chicago on Friday, September 29, for a night of full-throttle excitement. Partnering with Formula 1 (F1) racing, Red Bull brought Chicagoans together to enjoy a free event featuring high-speed racing and spectacular stunts.
Over 8,000 attendees packed the grounds of United Center to witness Red Bull F1 driver Patrick Friesacher circle a 2,000-foot closed circuit track in Red Bull’s iconic RB7 car. The action-packed event featured stunts by motorcyclist Aaron Colton and rally car champion Scott Speed.
Guests could get in on the action firsthand with the Red Bull Pit Stop Challenge and racing simulators. The event also featured tasty food truck options and exclusive Red Bull racing merchandise.
The Red Bull Showrun was a welcome attraction for Chicago F1 enthusiasts, following a trend of exciting racing events in the Windy City. In the wake of this summer’s NASCAR Chicago Street Race, the Red Bull Showrun gave local racing lovers another opportunity to enjoy their favorite sport without leaving city limits.
