Chicago Chefs Cook is supporting the L.A. restaurant community impacted by devastating wildfires.

Chicago Chefs Cook is a nonprofit that unites the Chicagoland chef community to raise money for humanitarian causes, both local and global. In the past, Chicago Chefs Cook have come out in force to support victims of Hurricane Helene, migrant relief efforts, farmers fighting floods in the Emilia Romagna region, earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria, those in need in the Ukraine, Tigray and Puerto Rico, and so many others.

And now, they are coming together again to support the L. A. restaurant community that has been devastated by wildfires. Chicago Chefs Cook and Lifeway Foods invite you to dine at the Chicago restaurants noted below, where a percentage of proceeds will go to Chicago Chefs Cook 4 LA.

By choosing a “Plates with a Purpose” menu item beginning January 13 through February, you will directly support the recovery and revitalization of restaurants impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.

Chicago Chefs Cook co-founder and development director Eda Davidman shared, "The Chicago Chefs Cook team is the first-responder organization for chefs wanting to support the hospitality industry in times of need. Given the events unfolding in LA, we felt the urgency to bring our community of chefs and patrons together to stand in support and solidarity and to shine some hope for the people of Los Angeles during this unprecedented and devastating time.”

Participating Chicago restaurants include Galit, Sifr, Thattu, Gene & Georgetti, Frontier, Verzeney, Hewn Bakery, LeTour Brasserie, Firecakes, Mochinut Lincoln Park, Boka, Alla Vita, GG’s Chicken Shop, Prairie Grass Café, El Molcajete Sauces, Luella’s Southern Kitchen, Lardon, JT’s Sandwich Shop, A Taste of the Phillippines, Katherine Ann Confection, Lulu Café, Eden, Chef Art Smith’s Reunion, Union, Meadowlark, Floriole, For a, Birria Ta-Ta-Tacos, Heart & Soul Bakeshop, Toro by Richard Sandoval and others. (New restaurants are still being added so check website for updates or to donate: chicagochefscook.org.)
