Santa’s Grand Arrival on the Seadog
On Sunday, November 24, Santa arrives at Navy Pier in style, trading his sleigh for City Cruises’ Seadog. Sailing in at noon, he’ll be greeted by an impressive water cannon salute from the Chicago Fire Department. Families can then follow him to Harry Caray’s Tavern for brunch, photos, and live music in the cozy Lakefront Lodge.
Housegiving Party in the Aon Grand Ballroom
Kick off Thanksgiving with a night of house music at Navy Pier’s Housegiving! From 4:30 to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, legendary DJs like Bad Boy Bill and Julian Jumpin Perez will spin tunes that keep the dance floor alive. Tickets are just $15 for this must-attend pre-holiday party.
Light Up the Lake: A Dazzling Holiday Experience
From November 29 through January 5, Navy Pier comes alive with millions of lights, towering ice slides, bonfires, and more. Fireworks and drone shows will light up the night sky, creating a holiday spectacle that can even be seen from DuSable Lakeshore Drive.
Santa’s Family Pavilion Visits
Santa will greet children in the Family Pavilion every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from November 29 to December 22. Walk-ups are free, and photo packages are available for purchase. Santa will also be at Harry Caray’s Tavern for breakfast on December 8 and December 15.
Holiday Artisan Markets & Crafting Workshops
Explore unique gifts and crafts at the Holiday Artisan Markets, held every Saturday and Sunday from November 30 through January 5, noon to 6 p.m. On Sundays, join in holiday-themed crafting workshops with local artists from noon to 4 p.m.
Immerse Yourself in Winterland at Illuminarium
Step into a festive wonderland at Winterland, running from November 22 to January 5. Enjoy a journey through enchanted forests, giant Christmas trees, and more. Don’t forget to write a letter to Santa while you’re there!
Lakefront Lodge & Curling by the Lake at Harry Caray’s Tavern

Chicago’s Christmas Tree Ship Tradition
On December 6 and 7, Navy Pier welcomes the Christmas Tree Ship, delivering trees to over 1,000 Chicago families. Free tours of the ship are available from 1:30 to 4 p.m., and the dedication ceremony will take place on Saturday at 10 a.m.
