Let's Go with Catie Keogh to DuPage County

Located just 20 miles outside Chicago, DuPage County in Illinois has transformed into a must-visit summer hot spot, offering a unique blend of nature and art. I loved exploring the artistic wonders and natural beauty that make this area an enchanting summer getaway.

DuPage County proudly hosts a new, captivating Andy Warhol exhibit that art enthusiasts cannot miss. The Andy Warhol Portfolio exhibition celebrates the iconic pop art of Andy Warhol with over 90 pieces of art, a Studio 54 installation, and even a pop art factory for kids. From the vibrant colors to the thought-provoking imagery, the exhibit offers a new way to experience the art of Warhol.

With art and culture on our minds, we stopped at Juice and Berry in Roselle, where you can enjoy a delicious Warhol-inspired smoothie. They have a variety of superfoods and juice cleanses that will give you a fresh start for the rest of your trip.

Not to be outdone, wine lovers can indulge their senses at Lynfred Winery, where they are serving a special Warhol-inspired wine. Inspired by Warhol's love of women, the Malbec-Syrah is quite a treat with notes of rose and blueberries, so get it before it's gone! The lovely winery offers various tastings and a small bed-and-breakfast on site.

Nestled within the forests of DuPage County, the Morton Arboretum is a breathtaking outdoor haven for nature enthusiasts. The arboretum features a new exhibit called Of The Earth, showcasing the work of Polish sculptor Olga Ziemska, who artfully blends her statues with the surrounding natural beauty. Stroll along the paths and immerse yourself in the harmony of art and nature.

If you are like me and need coffee or tea to function, check out BrewPoint Coffee in Elmhurst. This female and minority-owned establishment serves excellent coffee and is a hub for creativity and collaboration. Sip on a meticulously crafted latte while supporting a local business that embodies the spirit of DuPage County.

DuPage County offers a summer experience where the convergence of nature and art creates a magical atmosphere. Whether you've come for some R and R or to find inspiration for your next creative project, DuPage County guarantees an unforgettable summer experience. Pack your bags and bring your friends and friends to this beautiful Illinois gem.
